The Zimbabwe Land and Agrarian Network (ZiLAN) distributed earth augers and conducted training on their use targeting 100 women farmers in Ward 4 and Ward 8 Mutoko District.  Ten (10) earth augers were distributed to 10 groups comprising 10 women each. The pilot initiative is a complement to the government initiated Pfumvudza scheme and is aimed at to reducing the labour burden for women while at the same time enhancing their capacity to adapt to climate change.
