The Zimbabwe Land and Agrarian Network (ZiLAN), in partnership with AMA, ZIMSOFF, ARDAS, and AFC Development Bank, held a market linkages capacity‑building training on 28 April 2026 at Greenland Gardens, Bhora, attended by 88 farmers (75 women and 13 men). The training equipped smallholder, women, and youth farmers with practical skills in market systems, production planning, financing, post‑harvest standards, and value addition. Farmers discussed challenges such as reliance on middlemen, transport costs, water shortages, and lack of storage facilities, while facilitators introduced solutions including staggered planting, collective bargaining, AFC group lending, and ZINWA borehole drilling support. Participants committed to registering with AMA, opening AFC bank accounts, cascading knowledge to communities and youth, and strengthening VBUs to enhance bargaining power and market access. The workshop concluded with strong appreciation for the technical and financial guidance provided, setting a foundation for profitable, market‑driven agriculture in Bhora and Mwanza Ward 12.
