On 18 June 2026, Zimbabwe Land and Agrarian Network. in collaboration with Wadzanai Community Development Trust hosted a women‑led cooperatives training in Domboshava at Makumbe, equipping small‑scale women farmers with skills in Farming as a Business, Market Linkages, Financial Literacy, Value Addition, and Cooperative Law in Zimbabwe. Farmers were capacitated on the importance of registering Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCOs) under the Cooperatives Society Act (Chp 24:05), moving beyond informal ISALS to structured, democratic and member‑driven cooperatives. By joining registered cooperatives, women farmers gain flexible interest terms, collective bargaining power for inputs, a culture of saving and lending, and clear governance structures that safeguard fairness and democracy- strengthening their livelihoods and positioning farming as a sustainable business.
